Thought I would make a report on the affects of the Satin Balls. It has been about 10 days since I made up a batch of Satin Balls. I have been feeding the same amount of kibble, plus 3 Satin Balls per day I believe it has made a big difference. She is not a boney and she coat is very shinny. Thanks ...

Made Satin Balls using 5 pounds of ground beef. 12 Balls per quart freezer bag. Used a plastic bucket to mix up in.

Supplement for weigh gain?

4 year old GSP ran 16 miles hunting this morning in less than 2 hours and found two sharp tail and a covey of huns to the gun.

The girl looks like a bag of bones.

I feed her four and a half cups of PPP 30/20 every day at 4:30 pm.

What can I use as a supplemenmt!

Liver, cheeze, donuts?

Work/train every day 10 to 15 minutes. The most important comman is WHOA. Start using a whistle for whoa and recall. Much eaiser for an excited dog to hear a whistle than your voice. The whoa command should lock up your dog solid. (could save it's life) With time everything else will fall into place...

My two GSP's (3 and 9 year females) will often get into a tug of war with a bird I have shot. Or just play keep away. Makes a great retrieve ugly. NOT GOOD! I run GSP's and mainly chase Chukar. We hunt at least 100 days a year. Never booted a dog. The biggest problem I see with boots on other dogs is fit and the ability to keep them on. AKC has a good read.

I can understand why female dogs do, but not males.

To stop it I use a training collar. HOWEVER it does not cure it. Sort of like counter surfing. The reward is worth the risk.

I worry more about porcupines.
