#3 Throw and shoot with dog chasing the bird. Let dog chase until it is far from the gun initially then keep setting up the same situation until the dog is closer to the gun but NOT too close for a while. Members: I put his poll at the very top of this page. Thanks for helping me out with that!!

Based upon my limited knowledge, this seems like a waterfowl dog technique? My goal is to have a flushing upland birddog, despite the "duck toller" name, so long answer short, no.
