what does the sevin dust accomplish?
maggot control among other things. I imagine it can kill any worm larvae as well (roundworm, hookworm, etc.) Also fleas and ticks.

Only thing I dislike about the nick a dog back for this and going past the boundaries is you have just set up that nick as an aversion training instead of a cue... so be very careful now when you decide to use your e collar in the field your pup may think "come off" with what ever she stimualted in...

I have the Combo. I like the test feature. A tone is sounded in the test feature. I can sound it and Libby responds to the tones, sometimes, and there's no need for stimulation. We're both still learning with the e-collar though.

Welcome to the forum.

I'd advise having good bedding and a windblock with rain cover. The quail can make it if you have enough of them so they can covey up with one another for warmth.

"Kennel" "Stay" "Here" "Fetch" "Settle" (I use this to calm her down while I hold my hand palm flat towards her.) ...And other little things that let me know she's getting ready for some good time...

Never a problem either. Libby got it right the first time and every time after. I did see her try by the head and by the rope, but she didn't follow through on her attempt and went for the body.The claim is correct in my mind....

Libby initially had a hard time with the bobwhite. I'd advise getting the bobwhite and using grouse scent. The bobwhite is smaller obviously and she can get her mouth on it much better. I have the grouse one also but have yet to use it because of the size difference.
