Re: New Brittany, New to Gun Dogs, and Commendation
Not sure on another Britt. I have a male Britt also. No pups are in the future from them. Libby will be 8 soon and she still thinks she's two. She's 100% energy when out and running.

Raw Rash on Brit's neck
My Brit got a raw spot from her collar. I noticed it about two weeks ago. I removed her collar and found that one of the brass rivets had a snag to it. I washed the area and covered it in anti-biotic ointment but her scratching has it spreading. It started out about the size of a dime. Now it's a bi...

I'm up for a Camp LeJune hunt. What would I need to do? Do they require a safety class prior to hunting on post? I have my NC license without problem. No gators in this part of NC. MAybe down WIlmingtom way and south of there, but the Sandhills don't have any. I bagged everyone she pointed except one. When it flushed, it went straight for the house across the road and was about 10 yards from the road when it flushed. I just watched it fly away. I was way too close to the house to even think of trying a shot in that direction. I'll go back. But better prep...

I guess I want the collars on the dogs in the rare chance they get out of the kennel. That way my name and number are on the collars. Although the top of the kennel is wired and electric, they have not escaped.... yet... I guess I could chip'em. Neither are. Where might I find the bitter apple stuff?

My feamle Brit will not stop chewing my male Brit's collar. I've gone through one nice leather one and a ragged nylon one. I've gone to a chain collar for the male. I'll ask the local WM if they will stock the 40lb bags. As for a 20lb bag, I have three dogs, not high on the physically active meter, and that 20lbs will last about a week and a half. Roughly $10 per week I guess. They ain't skinny and their coats are nicely shiny.

I used to live on Orange Leaf Circle right next to Fort Richardson.

I sure miss it up there. Petersville Rd is a good place to take the dog during Ptarmigan season in early fall. Just watch for bears. And take a gas can with you.

The Equinyl is $32 for 32oz. I figured 1/3-1/2oz a day for Petey. He's 66lbs. It could last at least two months and would be MUCH more cost effective the the current 100 tablet bottle I have for dogs which is 1 tablet for every 10 lbs.
