The ALL AROUND producing male. I'm not into the show side of it, but what male is producing pups for everyone's venue. We ALL know and AA male and AA female don't always throw AA pups. In my opinion any dog has to be a bird dog first before it can be a good trial dog. But what male is producing pups...

Very interesting folks. Keep them coming. Remember the male being a producer rather he's bred to a Field Trial female or a gun dog female. (Run, brains, bird prey, biddable, etc)

It sounds like you are talking about the BDC trials........... The way I understand it, is that you are only scored on the amount of birds in the bag in a specified amount of time. The only thing the dog has to do is hold a point for 3 seconds and I believe make the retrieve. The dog is not scored ...
