Re: white discharge

A white discharge could be from vaginitis. Since it sounds like you only had her 2 weeks prior to spaying her, hopefully it's not a puppy vaginitis issue from an innie vulva. If she has an innie vulva, usually a spay is recommended after the first heat, because the vulva will permanently enlarge to ...

I don't think having another dog negates the loss of the first one. I do think though that having another dog to hunt and enjoy, helps to ease focusing on the one lost. I now have this with my oldest dog and on Googling, found this thread. She limped just a bit last week on her right front, so I put her on mostly house arrest. Trimmed her toenails on Sunday and didn't notice a thing and the limp was barely noticeable. Monday it was obvious that she had a flat toe o...

As I recall, and that photo is about 2 years old, it healed up pretty fast after the foreign object came out. It might've taken a week before all of the swelling disappeared and the skin shrank back. I'd agree that something was probably in there. If she's walking okay and it's not swollen any more, I'd just keep doing the neosporin. Sorry if the pic is huge, but this is one my dog had. She wasn't really lame but had swelling between the toes. Took her to the vet and she couldn't squeeze anythin...

Definitely could be a piece of stick too. I was really hoping my vet would find something to remove, so we both could rest easy. Tail docking and dew claw removal are very easy if done within the first few days. Taking a tiny puppy to the vet's office puts it under stress and exposes it to all kinds of desease. This law will do nothing but add cost to law abiding owners, and stress to tiny puppies. The law is also unenforcea...
