I used to quick SMokey a ton with standard clippers. She saw them and ran. A couple times it looked like someone had performed surgey in our bathroom. I switched to a nive cordless 7.2 Volt Dremel and she doesn't run.....as fast  ....and she tolerates me touching her feet. I was skeptical it co...

Any thoughts on this gun? My O/U turned into a blank gun this weekend...I want to get into ducks and geese (plus the upland i already do) and am thinking Semi auto might fit both apps. Then later pick up a better quality o/u or SxS to handle the bulk of the upland work. I'd like to stay in the 600 t...

I get this kind of attitude all the time, just usually on public ground. i had been working my Smokey and the pup I had at the time (last season) in a field. A group of 5 guys (who could see us working the whole half mile they had to walk to get there.) with several dogs. Walk right towards me from ...

I just use mechanix style gloves, works pretty well. Found a pair at home depot that are lightly insulated but still have good dexterity for when it gets really cold. If I wear too much on my dome i start to sweat when I am out. If its cold a blaze orange fleece windstopper stocking hat, sorta cold ...

You get points for...
The point
Retrieve-either full or partial
Bird bagged
Unused shells (only allowed 6)
Extra time (any time left under 20 minutes)
Shot bird (I.e. no safety)
I think that covers it

You get 20 minutes to find 3 birds. THe scoring is cut and dry...no objective opinions involved.

Never thought how it might affect a trial dog though!
