Re: I think we need to get rid of our britt...
At least one of you needs to be committed to the responsibility of owning a dog, never mind a high energy dog like a Britt. I'm sure every person on this site is busy, but some are making time right now just trying to help. It's something that's in your bones or it isn't and frankly it doesn't sound...

Re: anyone experienced a dog that cant scent birds?!
Bird hunting with a dog is not about rewarding yourself with shot because you've been beating the brush for hours. Every trip out is an opportunity for your dog to learn and your doing your dog a disservice by shooting birds that are not pointed. Until you go back to the basics and retrain the dog t...

Muck boots are great. I wear them now and find them to be light and comfortable. I did find them to be a little tight at the calf but I started wearing long, thin dress socks (under my normal weight sock) and pulling them above the boot line. This has worked out really well and I have no more issues...

New Pup Sunday.
I pick up my new Brit Sunday and while I understand the ins and outs of training this will be my first time with 2 dogs at once in the same house. My questions are; 1 what is the best way to introduce the dogs. 2 I have a kennel room in my house where my 4 yo male brittany sleeps kenneled. Is it ok ...

I agree with Phermes 1...I usually wear my underarmour cold weather gloves and they do the trick. My hands stay reasonably warm and provide some level of protection from briars etc..They have grips on the pad which also helps when it's wet.

A friend of mine is looking to add a GSP and I was hoping someone could recommend a breeder. We are located in MA, but I don't think he would limit himself to a local breeder (Not sure how many are even around). I seem to remember hearing that PT isn't really a good idea because of the chemicals used to treat the wood. I could however be "misremembering" this. You might want to look into it.
