This is true as well. I bought privacy screening for the chicken fence and hot wired outside that. Helped quite a bit.

Some of my dogs do okay and some move mountains to get to the chickens. We have the chickens in a chicken fortress now. Double fenced and hot-wired outside of that.

fairly tightly related half siblings on this close one. The breeder felt it was too tight and since he has had these lines and line bred them for 25 years or so, I am trusting him. :)

I see breedings that tight in GSPs but only from people who really know their lines!

Same boat here - with a call that the heat started about Jan 12. So "standing heat" can range from day 6 - 22 yes 22 I have seen it... but is usually around day 12 ish. Then ultrasound confirmation is most common and around day 32 post breeding. So long end would be 50 isn days after heat cycle star...

Peeing in drips is not really normal. And as Sharon says, females a very prone to UTIs. Also vaginitis which may cause swelling and restrict proper urine flow.

As a tip on the positive reinforcement... make a mental switch in your mind. Move away from correcting when the puppy does something you don't like. Change to reward the things you like. Have never seen this. "Hotdog on a string" sounds like a tracking drill, but from what you say they are using it as a pointing drill? Most of the "wing on a string" stuff for pointing drills is sight based and no need to use a hotdog. But again, I have not seen the video you speak of.
