My experience with cheap guns was not good got that $25 on from lions country in the fall it broke this spring and was used only a little. Broke at my HT 2 weeks ago. Luckily someone I knew in my NAVHDA club was there and lent me his NEF and I used it the past 2 JH Legs. I ordered the NEF from lcsup...

Since he is so far along, I would wait and go right in to SH, that way you won't go backwards in your training. Sometimes a JH bracemate can just destroy your training alone. Chad I did my third leg of JH this weekend at a pointer club. My brace mate was a pointer who had no interested in anything ...

As far as supplies there are many good places, lion country is a good one www.lcsupply.com As far as the spaying is concerned, I l...

It just seems that geldings can be quitters, whereas mares are not. Maybe you have the wrong geldings. this statement doesn't make sense to me. Maybe you can shed some light on it Joe Sure, Stallions have plenty of hormones to keep them going. Mares also. What to geldings lack that the other two do...

at first until they socialize with each other I would never let the older dog alone with the puppy. and make sure you continue your usual routine with the older dog to avoid as many jealousy issues as you can. last year I introduced a male puppy to a 10 year old female with out any problems but I di...

Congrats! Sounds like he did a very nice job. Hopefully you can go 2 for two the next test weekend, get that JH and keep working him toward that SH or MH test. We have one leg this weekend in PA on Sunday. I would love to run MH with him one day, that is the ultimate Goal in our training. Thanks fo...

The reason I ask I have heard people in the gallery complaining about other people riding mares, you know if a person was riding a gelding that was cut strong it could cause some issues. It's not the gelding that causes issues. Mares are just exceedingly pissy at times. Mares tend to be much more p...

Sorry to respond to your question with a question but... What is flagging? I was under the impression it is tail wagging while on point. Is that right? If so, what's the problem with it? Got 2 legs of my JH this weekend
My 11 month old vizsla(dog in my avatar) did 2 legs of his JH this weekend. I am very proud of him especially the way he did it. He worked excellent, range beautifully, hunted the field great, pointed with style on all 6 birds Not that it helps scores, but most importantly to me, he remained steady ...

A word of caution.... Just remember that they are using puppies at various ages in the videos, and just because one pup may be ready for any given stage in the training, another may not. Too much pressure too young and you could have setbacks. As Jon states in the beginning of Perfect Start... look...
