I'd say if the shots there 7 1/2 work for me on both birds. But I do carry 6's with me as well. Sometimes i use 7 1/2 with a six a my second shot.

It just seems that geldings can be quitters, whereas mares are not. Maybe you have the wrong geldings. this statement doesn't make sense to me. A word of caution.... Just remember that they are using puppies at various ages in the videos, and just because one pup may be ready for any given stage in the training, another may not.
