Re: big running dog.... any ideas

In my opinion you will do a lot more unproductive walking with a dog that runs next to you vs. the dog that runs big. Why do all that walking when you have a dog that can cover that ground? I'll walk any distance any day if I know my dog is on a bird!

Re: LLEWELLIN PEDIGREE QUESTION

Thats good to hear guys, thanks. We brought her home last night. Her name is Molly and she sure has that sweet setter personality. She was pretty much a house dog for the people we got her from. She is going to have to learn some manners, I can tell she used to rule the roost. Smart girl though, alr...

LLEWELLIN PEDIGREE QUESTION

Picking up a 2 year old Llewellin today from a family that can no longer care for her. She is out of High Cotton Ben and White Rock Venom. What can you guys tell me about her? I'm sure Highcotton will be able to tell me a thing or two. Thanks! http://www.llewellinsetter.net/LITTER.HTM http://www.dan...

There aren't many places as flat as SW Kansas. I grew up in Ulysses, now live in Hays.

I use a product called ShowSheen. You can find it at any horse supply store. It works well.

Re: What type of shotgun are you using for your bird hunts?

Tommyboy, I think its an awesome gun. I am really impressed with it. I should have bought the sxs though I'm afraid. Since I got the skb I've been hooked on em. Those are some good looking pups you have. Almost makes me regret pulling the trigger on another setter! Picking him up next weekend down b...

Re: What type of shotgun are you using for your bird hunts?

Right now its an Ithaca SKB 12 gauge sxs. Man I love that gun! I also shoot a Yildiz 20 gauge O/U. Its a good gun for the price. Both are great guns for long treks because they are pretty light weight.

Re: Wolf or Coyote???

I'm no expert but judging by the head I would have to say young wolf. Doesn't look like the head of a coyote to me at all. I know its hard to tell in a picture but it looks a bit large and big boned even for a large coyote.

What do you think of Ithaca skb SxS

I am looking to buy a SxS. Saw an Ithaca skb 100 12 ga. with imp cyl/mod. fixed chokes at a local shop for $500.00 in good shape. I really liked the feel of the gun. Can anyone give me some advice on this. From what I have seen that sounds like a good price. What do you think? Thanks!

Re: Just some info and need to know about Weimaraners

I definitely agree with keeping them in a kennel when you are not there. Especially if it is only for 4 hours at a time. If you are still interested in another dog though it sounds to me like the perfect companion for your weim may be an english setter. I have an 11 month old setter that is just ful...
