I was told that an old NBHA National Amateur Champion and Open Horseback Shooting Dog Champion Candy's Purple Ranger was the only pup in his litter. They named him Ranger for being the Lone Ranger in his litter.

Car Sick Pup
My hunting partner bought a new weanling pup a couple of months ago. She threw up on the ride home and now throws up every time he takes her for a ride. She is nearly four months old now. I am looking for some ideas to get this to stop.

SKB GC7, 28" barrels, 20 gauge. You would have to find a used one but they are a very good gun within your budget.

We hunted the north central part last weekend, an area we have hunted for 18 years. This was by far the most hunters I have seen in that time, several big groups too. We did not see the bird numbers we had hoped for.

I carried lots of water for me and the dog. The cover was pretty light where we found them and we walked a lot and while many flushed out of range we found them pretty easy to kill when we connected. Pro Pac Performance Puppy is cheaper than Pro Pac Performance. This is the only case I know of that the puppy is cheaper.

The tuf flex collars from Gun Dog Supply are what I use in 1", their 1 1/2" only comes in orange and no center ring. I run mostly green and prefer center rings. They have a website that you can access for free.

I shot an 1100 Remington for 25 years, I now have a SKB GC 7. I really like it and payed around $1,000 new a few years ago. One of my hunting buddies shoots SKB's, 505 and 585 mostly.

The breeder had my last pup on Purina Pro Plan Sport 30-20, it is listed for all life stages. I kept her on it as a puppy and through her first hunting season. It is expensive but she did very well on it.

The Grand National collar from Lion Country has heavy hardware and a tough, thick piece of leather. I have several and they have been in use for years, they also have BRASS hardware like the original poster requested.

Took a long hunting trip in one once. Really drove nice out on the rode, has some extra storage compartments that were handy and we removed the cover off the bed and put a couple dog boxes in it. I think you could pull a dog trailer and load some buddies and be set for extended trip.

Gailen's Lotto was the 2003 AFTCA National Walking Champion, in 2005 he won both Region 5 and Region 17 Walking Championships. I believe his other three championships and one RU were in US Complete competition with Harlold Gearhart running him for Gailen.
