Sounds like a plastic lined locking nut might do the trick, or some thread lock. Should be less than a dollar to fix your problem.

That's great, how old is your boy? My boys and I were just talking about what kind of dogs they want to get. That is way too get a couple more dogs past the wife I told the boys when there old enough to train them on there own they can get whatever dog they like.

Run your dogs as much as you can. The exercise is good for both you and your hunting partner. Try putting some weight in your hunting vest and high step walk. Your never ready to walk through tall thick grass dragging on your legs

A couple of us tried a state bird release spot last year. NOT GOOD !! It was two days after the release. 6 foot tall summer grass and alot of hunters. we made it to the end of a tracked and there were 8 hunters we could see. Picked up the dogs and headed for a better spot.

All the pedirees I have pulled up and looking through have some open spots. Yes that I get,not all dogs get titled. But it seems an unproportional amount the opening are one the dam side. Is there a good reason why dams don't get titled??

Check with the local PF chapter they may have a list of guys willing to help. They have youth hunts in our area that get a real nice turnout from both kids and adults.
