Try and push her range out and always hunt on the down wind side of the group. This will allow her to work birds across the
the hole group. Its tough to hunt with a dog that only hunts for its owner.
If you can figure it out your friends and family will have fun and get some birds too.

Sir I do not have a ryman setter but I do have a 8 month old english setter. I think your asking a very general question about a breed of dog. You may have too look into the ped to find if there's any agression. As far as the biting our setter pup will play ruffhouse with our kids (nip bite jump on)...

We were in upper mi a month ago and you wouldn't find a dog on point without a locator beeper of some kind. Also, if not for the beeper on Other guys dog in the woods he would have gotten shot at. There is always a cord on him.
That the problem if I handle him with the cord around birds were is he going to get his range form?

Saturday the 22,29 and Sunday the 23,30 is the ohio youth small game season. The state stocks a preserve near our home Pleanty of birds for the youth to get a good shot on. I will be there in the am with a dog if any youth are intrested Send me a p.m.. P.s. its in northwest ohio. Shhhh its a secret.

Duct tape works fine. Its not very expensive and if you forget it stop by any store and pick some up. Tape over the foot
after a while the pads will wear through and the dog won't slip. Back wrap the first layer around the ankel to help with
removal. Also you can buy It in all kinds of cool colors.

Yes corn works well I've used it in the trap. I lined the bottom with cardbaord so the corn didn't fall through. Tim I have had no problems with mine. I've never had a bird get out of the trap. The door latch on top is a pain sometimes if your alone Tying to load a bird.
