Re: For those that use feral pigeons
Thanks for the replies. I have one remote launcher, but have been trying to put out three or four birds total. I will try a few of the methods listed and see if they work. If not, I'll stick with the launcher.

For those that use feral pigeons
I have been catching quite a few pigeons lately at a farm nearby. I just started trying to use them this weekend and am having problems. How do you get the pigeons to stay on the ground? I am tucking the birds head under the wing and spinning it about 25 times before I put it down. It seems like it ...

Re: Looking for Live Pigeons, MT
There is a guy north of you in Conrad named Scott that manages the grain elevator up there. He can get you as many pigeons as you want, as long as you are looking for wild pigeons and not homers. Otherwise, I would check at the elevators around Bozeman.

K-9 Kondo Dog Door
I am wondering if those of you who use the K-9 Kondo Dog door also purchased the rear closure panel. Since the door in the front can be locked, is the rear panel necessary? I am going to install the dog door for the dogs to go between the garage pen to the outdoor pen. The rear panel is $30.00 extra...

Versatile dogs & cold weather duck hunting
I have a Pudel Pointer and duck hunt with him regularily. It has gotten quite cold in Oregon, so I was wondering how cold is too cold as he will be retrieving in the water. I wouldn't be worried in the least about a lab or chessie, but am unsure on versatile dogs and I don't want to put my new best ...

Homemade Pigeon Trap
Has anyone ever made a homemade pigeon trap? I would like to start trapping some pigeons and don't really want to spend $60, so was wondering if anyone has gotten crafty and come up with a way to make your own. Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Questions after First Chukar Hunt
I have a few questions after my 13 month old Pudelpointer and I went out for our first chukar hunt. 1). His pads are really sore after running up and down the canyons for 5 hours. What is the best way to prevent this from happening again? Tuf-Foot or booties? 2). If you are hunting day after day, is...

Pigeons in Confined Areas/Neighborhoods
I live in a neighborhood where the homes are very close to eachother. I have no back yard, but have a side yard that is about 15' x 55' which is where I am thinging about putting a pigoen loft. I have a great field to train in across the street and would love to have some homers. Only thing is I'm a...

Best Side X Side
What do you think the best side X side is for $1000 - $1500? I'm thinking about getting one and would like your opinions.
