zanfel is awesome but if you don't want to spend the $$$ you can use bleach and water (50-50) it works may take a day or two longer.

i know what you mean, was doing the same thing but just started keeping some high brass in my training vest. not saying its rite but its a lot safer imo. i figure the amount of sinkers some of the fishermen loose a couple shots on a weekend cant hurt too bad.

have seen and herd of that many times, like you said thank god it wasnt 2'' higher. have seen it the most when doing duck searches.cannot beleave how much and far steel skips off the water,thats why i use led its not as bad. 3 guys that i train with got nailed will sure get your attetion.

i wouldnt be so quick to jump on board with the its too early thing. my dogs have been started that young and no problem. along with ff. you can sharpen the other things like heal,woah ff. isnt as brutal as it sounds. just ounce you start stay with it hopefuly 2 times a day, could take 4-8 weeks dep...

well put. couldnt agree more with what you said. instead of the tape i spraypainted a bunch of clouth pins blaze orange and use them to mark the trail clip them on the branches real easy to see when your getting off track.

if you could get the pig blood get it. yes blood is blood but i think some is better than others. was lucky enough to get quite a lot of elk blood was told its better than the others(hotter) . i would try to get hold of the nadkc guys in your area.

yes usaly its a pheasant. just remember your dog doesnt have to find or point the pheasant, they want to see the natural tracking ability of the dog.

what i have done in the past is take a pheasant tie it up around the wings with some heavy string and connect it in the middle of two checkcords. the two people can drag the the bird and hopefuly not leave a lot of sent. by that i mean the dog is tracking the bird not the people. make them short and...

after this weekend i saw plenty. dogs not retreving,or backing. but the single biggest mistake i saw was it seamed like the first person to hit the bird field tried to find all the birds before his bracemate got there.

i was a hunter first,then after gettin different dogs i wanted more out of them. the best thing i ever did was to get involved in different dog clubs like akc, navhda, and nadkc. now sometimes i cant wait for huntin season to end to get back to some good training.
