Re: GSPCA Nationals
I talked with one of the officials on the AA. He said only 4 dogs were scratched yesterday and 2 of the dogs that were scratched had nothing to do with the heat. Also the afternoon heat was in the upper 80s, not the 70s mentioned previously.

Re: East side on Montana to Hunt 1st week of Sept.
Hey Scott
Montana is loaded with public hunting if you are going to walk. I think they are called block management areas. Check with the state fish & game department. I've hunted on some that were outstanding in the Tiegan area & it should even be better further east.

Ray Dohse won 2nd with Eshods Arkansas Lady. Congratulations to all who placed. Both stakes were run over challenging courses and in tough weather conditions.

Re: Kid-Safe Field Trial Horse?
Hey Caleb, I always heard the perfect total of the horses age and the kids age is at least 25. Of course that's just a way of saying get a horse with plenty of experience and savvy for a youngster. Just keep it safe and simple at this point and make sure she's having fun would be my recommendation (...

Re: GW Crates Saddles?
GW Crate, a "master" saddlemaker, is supposed to make this saddle for Riders Choice. They make a western style gaited horse model that looks like a nice saddle in the pictures and specs, but I've never seen one in person. They also make a trooper/endurance style saddle and other western style saddle...

GW Crates Saddles?
Has anyone had any experience with GW Crates saddles? If so how was the quality? Pros? Cons? Overall satisfaction or dissatisfaction?

Re: Flashy TWH Gelding For Sale
Enjoyed meeting you and seeing your dogs. You're welcome back anytime.
Since you was here I have had some reports of good hunting around Paducah, Silverton, Wheeler and Childress. Sounds like the birds are pretty good in those areas.
The horse is still available.

Here is a quote from an article by Dr. Arleigh Reynolds and Dr. Jim Cline "Dogs...given 1.5 - 2 g carbohydrate/kg body weight post exercise in the form of maltodextrins were able to recover, on average, about 50% of pre-exercise glycogen stores within 4 hours of exercise and about 85% of pre-excerci...

Flashy TWH Gelding For Sale
Very gentle unregistered 4 year old paint TWH gelding for sale. Has been used in field trials by a pro. Hauls easy, easy to catch anywhere, stakes out, not bothered by gun shots, and is gentle for a senior like me or even an inexperienced rider. About 15 hands. May not be fast enough for you AA boys...
