She isn't swollen. She's ok with his sniffing and even some licking but once he gets too excited, she gives him a correction. When she was intact, and in full blown heat, she was never receptive to males.

As long as you don't overfeed, Pro Plan 30/20 should be fine. However, if you overfeed the large breed puppy, regular puppy, or even an adult feed, the overfeeding is more likely to lead to problems.

Normally feed at 6:45 am.Taking my dog to run an AKC Fast Cat lure coursing run at 9:30-10:00 am. This course will be a 100 yard sprint. That's all, one run at 100 yards.

Feed her the regular amount, half of her regular amount, or feed her an hour after the run?

Both of the Earthborn foods mentioned in the orignal post, the 26/15 and the 38% higher protein option are both grain free and are in the "natural holistic" line of foods. But there was mention that the higher protein food caused digestive upset so that wasn't really an option.

Has anyone had success with non-tie breedings (slip ties). Ex. Male mounts for multiple times for anywhere from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. Over a period of three days, multiple mounts, vigorous thrusting, but no ties.

I agree with Sharon on the value of Pro Plan Performance vs. the puppy. In my area they are priced the same, however, the puppy comes in a 34lb bag and the Performance is in a 37.5lb bag.
