It hasn't been as bad as it was the day he got out of surgery, been draining mostly some clear fluid. On occasions there will be some bloody discharge come from the drain tube(s). The day I took him in for the examination, prior to the surgery he seemed excited to go to the vet. But the day I was to...

Re: Unexplainable lump on Brittany's throat.
From Sat. to Wed. it got so swollen that his facial features looked like a bull dog. The vets were in complete disbelief, that it would have swollen that quick. So arrangements were made for surgery the following day. They opened what the surgeon called "an abscess" and didn't find anything inside. ...

At the moment they're trying to rule out the possibility that it may be cancer, which is why samples were sent off to the university cytology lab. At least that's what they told me :roll:snips wrote:They do not want to open it up? Thats how they found the seed in Amos's neck.

MY Wire had a lump on his neck which we left alone until 6 mo later it festered..Went in ad found a seed...All good..Who knows... I would leave this alone, but it continues to grow. Just got back from the vet...... He took a syringe and stuck it right in the middle of the "lump", all that came out of this lump is dark red blood. He said a blood vessel in his neck had broken and the blood had pooled in his neck, creating a sac of blood. Over time the blood will harden and dissip...

After picking up my Brittany the weekend before last, from a trainer that has a shady record. I noticed a questionable lump on his neck last weekend. After hearing that from the trainer, I sent an inquiry to the breeder who's suppose to be calling me some time either tonight or tomorrow night. But what should one look for when selecting a e-collar?
I've looked at Tritronics, Innotek, Sport DOG, DT Systems, Dogtra, & Unleashed Technology. And just not sure which would be the right choice.
