Re: 15 month old Brit got into seeds. Help!
Thanks for the response guys. I've been away from home since Tuesday, so I haven't been able to observe my pups reactions. The good news from my wife is that my pup seems to have returned to normal with no sneezing or head shaking. I've researched seeds in my area that could be dangerous, and haven'...

15 month old Brit got into seeds. Help!
I was running my pup here in GA this weekend when she came over the hill sneezing and shaking her head. My assumption proved correct yesterday when the vet removed several seeds and seed "tails" from her sinuses. The seeds were buried pretty far in and required a specialists, with a special scope, a...

Re: Why I Send My Dogs North
My pup goes to camp every summer to get ready for trial season. Like Neil said, it is the best money you can spend to develop a young pup. This year I had two dogs at camp (ouch) but it is money well spent. I try (not always successful) to get out to camp every year for a few days to watch the dogs ...

We hunt over cockers every year for pheasants in PA. They are friggen amazing pheasant dogs. With any luck, the breeders will continue to breed amazing bird dogs, and maybe even return cockers to be consistent bird dogs, and not just the lap and show dogs most of them have become.

And less than some seem to think. I am not saying they are running a National Champion/National Amateur Champion in weekend stakes. I do know some AKC breeds have an understanding to not run a FC/AFC in weekend 30 minute stakes (they do often continue with limited stakes); but I know for a fact that is not the case with Brittany trials. That's one reason some people look at the AF CH as a much better bar for judging a dogs accomplishments, than just an FC title. The problem with cutting a stock to fit a woman is that the grip length is still typically to long, and the comb is typically too low.
