GSP.

I haven't had any other breed, but have been around them.

You can get some that run big, some that hunt close.

They also seem to be one of the easiest breeds to train.

GWPs are just GSPs that haven't had their hair shaved in a while.

In fact I got a GSP that I am letting her hair grow out, then try to re-register with AKC as a GWP.

I just use basically a long leash. Heel my dog and she runs next to me on my bike when we start out. I then tell her "out in front" and she takes off in front of me and pulls me a long. I have one of those bikes without a front wheel for my son, instead of a front wheel you clip it to your seatpost....

Actually VZ if you have proper vent holes in the box and storage on top, which works as insulation, you dont have to many worries in the summer either. I have transported dogs in 100+ degrees and not had any problems. Although I do usually put ice in the box when the temp is over 95 to keep the dog...

If your dog is steady to the shot, you are in control. You can send the dog whenever you want. Shoot, and send 'em. You can get the delay down to a couple of seconds, and then you want have shots you have to hold back on because the dog was in the way. Shooting a dog is not an issue of the dog break...
