he did come from hunters. HE has sniffed out pigeons once he hunted and found them no problem def using his nose and the wind. he kinda looked at them cautiously like what am I suppose to do . and same with the next pigeon that was planted. What to feed pigeons?
I have converted my chicken coop over to house pigeons. I checked the local fee d stores i did not see anything that said pigeons. I saw some cracked corn some kind of game bird food. Different things like that but whats the simplest way to to feed these guys without costing a fortune?

i felt the same way and was worried about him actually being excited about birds but the first time he was able t omess around with pigeons i could see i was wrong! I am almost done with my pigeon coop and will be swarming with pigeons soon enough !!

my pup definatelty does not like being held down especially for a long period of time he will def growl and start chompin. what do I do in that aspect? yeah I think we forget sometimes thata he is only 5 months old because he is 50 lbs already. im gonna look into getting some obediance training just to have a professional opinion on obediance I feel that if he can master that the rest should be instinctively and a lot easier

ill give that a try if it happaens again. he definitely isn't a mean dog and he nothing but nice and playful to other animals. he just gets to where he wants to be playing and doesn't want you to be making him listen.

The only real hunting Ive heard of in NE Fla is on private land with private hunts where people raise the birds and release them to hunt. There are quite a few places around us (south of Jax and east of St Aug) where people raise 3000+ birds and release on their land for hunts. Luckily I am friends ...

Thanks! Yes he does have the life! We are hopefully adopting a 1 y/o female within the next few weeks (once she is spayed). The foster mom is actually coming up tomorrow with the female to check out the house/property and let the two of them play again. Im so excited!

Im dead new at this but shouldnt we be training our dogs to heel? I know that its a complete pain in the tail when they try to pull you the whole walk. What if when you try the come command on a check cord, and the pup pulls against you even when a slight tug? Would you real him in or kinda go to him while taking line up? Just curious so far i havnt had that type of problem but i imagine it happens.

We feed our puppy Blue its all organic no byproducts chicken i think. Super gas! Talking about clearing a room ! He loves to fart when we are in the car so we all gasp for air and hope we can get the windows down fast enough! LOL
