Now that she is getting cold here in the north my shorthairs will be using the kennel more and will be spending a lot of time in there so I am wondering what are the best ways to put some heat in the dog box, the box is about 36"w x 45"L and maybe 36" tall. ...

Well - a slight change of plans. I went with a kennel - It's 6' x 18' attached to the garage with a doggie door and a 4'x36" x 8' dog box and inside kennel combo in the garage. The bonus is that now I have a 36" x 8' new work bench on top of the dog box/kennel in the garage ! The dog box is 4' x 36"...

VERY WORTH WHILE having birds at home for training. I and a friend started doing this last year when we both got new pups and we built a large crate 5x4x10 and raised 75 Chukkar. This was worth its weight in gold to us as we had birds when we needed them for most of the summer. This year we ordered ...

The bird should get up and out on it's own some may fly out but some will hop out then fly (I hope). Either way it should work.
I might even put a divider in it and have 2 doors to release so we can simulate milti bird flush, let one go then when the dog holds release the other one.

I use the wing on a string and stick to get the pup tracking, I start it out in one spot and drag it away out of site then bring the pup to the site show her the spot where I start and when she smells the spot I point in the direction of the track and let her go andshe tracks it. It works great .
