I've used mine for a couple weeks at a time for training before charging. I think it will handle two days of hunting for sure but i haven't used the beeper mode while training so i'm not sure how much that will drain it.

That's interesting! The diaphragm is a muscle that divides the chest cavity from the abdominal cavity so, in humans at least, a diaphragmatic hernia...which is usually traumatic in nature...lets the abdominal organs get into the chest cavity causing pain and difficulty breathing..and sometimes death...

thats correct. he will lose weight when i start working him. my working him is 30 minutes of swimming 3-4 days a week when weather was warm. then i free run him 1 hour 3-4 days a week when its cold. havent even started hunting him yet . he will really be working then. i hunt 6 days at a time about ...

I don't have an answer, but I do find a question. if the Eagle Pak is working in the "offseason" why do you switch the dog off of it...will he not maintain on it ? The breeder I got these pups from said he introduces it when they are excited and focused on something else That "something else" needed to be birds. I'm certainly no expert but the dog might have been in the back of the kennel when you shot and not visualizing you might have made the difference. M...

Anyone care to reply on LLewellin Setters. I've only hunted behind a couple. Both were good dogs that ranged fairly close and handled phez and quail fine. Both retrieved naturally and backed naturally...but neither where what I would call versatile. I know that's not much info but it's all i have.
