Finally got some time for Cash and Tank.
Well, between my son breaking his leg playing baseball and my trip in an ambulance (turns out I'm severely allergic to hornets) I haven't had much time since it started to cool down to get a couple of my pups on birds. Cash is my pup out of Brenda's Fritz x Izzy litter and Tank is a 3 month old pup ...

I feed once in the evening. You will find most feed once or twice as adult dogs. The reason i feed in the evening is because when hunting season and/or training time comes in the morning they have an empty stomach. JMO anyway

I'm not looking to argue. I know purina started in the 50's with a more commercialized production but James Spratt came up with a dried food in the 1890's and eventually went into purina in the 50's. I'm not even going to argue about the increase in issue since dried dog food introduction, but 50 ye...

Its funny that feeding meat to a dog, raw especially, is looked at as a fad, isn't kibble the fad? It's clear to me that having live birds available for training is best, but what about those for whom that is not an option? You can do a lot of things with a puppy minus live birds, but there is no other option (in my opinion) when it comes to some parts of the training of a bird dog. You could co...

It's my understanding that all dogs shed about alike but the secret is to have one the same color as your furnishings and carpet. I have seen that with the black and yellow labs where the blackone doesn't shed much in a dark room while the yellow one doesn't shed in the light colored rooms. But tur...

I'll be honest with you and say if they were my dogs I might take both and put them on the ground seperately. if he was holding birds before i would say he will still hold them.....but preserve birds, at least the ones i've been to, are notorious for walking out of cover, poor flying etc. so if he's not broke on birds I would be concerned he'd catch one. Is this the same EP you just had for sale?

I would think...assuming you are a good trainer with good references and with the ability to keep 5-6 dogs at at time...you would be better off training the others dogs. You would have a steady influx of money with training others dogs...assuming again that you do your job and/or they pay on time......
