When I hunt partridge in Oregon, we can only shoot a total of 8 whether they are Huns or chukar. Which states allow you to shoot a limit of both? This "trick" has worked for me. When my pup is getting out too far or not paying attention I HIDE! The idea being that the dog must search YOU out. They get scared, they panic, and when they find you, they are so relieved they decide "maybe its a better idea if I stay a little closer..." Has worked ...
