The problem with the micro chips is no standard registry. Only works if the vet or animal shelter has the correct scanner. My daughter was given a beagle and when she went to vet they didn't detect a chip. Went to another vet and they detected a chip.

We hunted around clay center this year and in one are around Milford we were walking out as another group was walking in. Later that day there was a different group walking in the same area and that was the middle of the week.

Sounds like a transmitter. Have you changed the battery in the transmitter or receiver? Doubt all three receivers would fail at once.

We were on the edges of some timber area's in Kansas and the collar still communicated with the hand held. Can't say if both the hand held and collar were in big timber if they would work as well. Probably be ok with leaves off the trees.

Most of them sense the vocal cords, sounds like the dog has figured out a way to avoid the correction. Might try a remote if you are around to give a correction when whining? I don't see how to capture the screen. Turns out that when you switch to large numbers there is an arrow above and you can switch to the other dog or dogs. Just can't view two dogs with large numbers. I am going to have to change to my bifocal sunglasses.

Had my unit out today and tried to change from small numbers to large I lost 1 of the tracking for a dog. Tried to scroll through the menu and couldn't get the collar back in trakcing until back at the truck I deleted the collar and resinked with the hand held. Got to be a better way.

Need to reinforce the stay command. The duck blind is not the place to train, better to do it in your yard where you control the situation.

What ever your command for come is use it and only it once, then reinforce. Continue using your word and check cord. If your pup is not reliable keep the check cord on. Old saying but true, never give a command you can't reinforce. With my young dogs I prefer my dogs come to 2 blasts on the whistle ...

Enough said Petsafe cheap chinese unrealiable junk. I have a whole self full of them I have take as trade ins. Just don't hold up and totally unreliable. I would not let my dogs be left unsupervised if I had anything Pet Safe.

Don't worry about birds for now. Work on coming when called and sit, stay or what ever only for short periods, let the dog be a pup. When retrieving use a tennis ball or paint roller.

Tri Tronics makes and excellent collar. I also have sold and used Dogtra. I like the dogtra because it comes in 2 sizes. Shock setting is adjustable and other dogs barking don't set them off.

I would stay away from Pet Safe and go with a better brands. Pet Safe is the cheap chinese stuff and is not very reliable, I have boxes of the stuff from trade in's. If you want the barn then you can include it. Wire is the cheapest part. Make sure you allow enough room the first time as its hard to retrain a dog to use an area once its off limits.
