Last time I was in MT we hung around the Livingston area doing a dog trail. Check out Neptune brewery and had some good food as well. Found a few coveys of HUN's around the area as well.

We did some white water rafting and zip lining in the Yellowstone park part of MT and it was a lot of fun.

I love my Garmin for grouse hunting more than any other hunting I do. The beeper I have seems to scare off the "smart" grouse. I love when I hear the little beep on my hip and I go and find him on point. I also like to know when he changes directions on me so I can go his same direction.

Nope I don't go out for many openers except deer.

Mostly been grouse and woodcock hunting this Oct.

Going prairie chicken hunting this weekend so I'll look for a few roosters as well.

I have killed alot more without then with decoys. This late in the season the birds have seen decoys and they want the "birds" to come to them.

There's a small brewery in Tampa called Cigar City Brewing. Pretty good stuff, but I don't think they're distributing outside of the state yet. They make a pretty good IPA. I was in FL and looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. No one even knew what I was taking about. I was in Tallahassee ...

Now you know why I shot them when we found them last year in Montana. Went out on Saturday morning a nice limit with a bonus ruff. Pup also found a porcupine, only about a dozen or so quills. He did a good as you could expect with pulling them out.

I love to hunt some Timber Doodles. They make for some fun shots. My pup loves to point and retrieve them. Eating them are not bad but not my favorite upland game but I do enjoy them.

I use a Garmin; it beeps on me and not in the birds face. Woodcock seem to care less about the beep of the collar but I think the beep scares the grouse off. A Garmin tells me the distance and when he is on point.
