Re: Tick War is On! Questions
I spray them with a little Martins Horse and Stable Spray before we head out. Doesn't take much. Kills the ticks as soon as they get on them. If you wanna go "organic" you can use apple cider vinegar and water to spray on them too.

If you go to Kansas you will need to get to at least Abilene. Usually find both quail and pheasants. It is about a 5 or 6 hour drive from Lake St. Louis and just eating at the Brookville Hotel makes it worth the drive!

You might wanna try a training buck on the table a few times and then move it to the ground. Or, you can set the bumper on a couple of bricks just to get it off the ground.

As long as it was a good breeding I wouldn't be concerned at this point. Your pup is like a computer it is all in there it just needs to be programmed. Be patient! Remember we are talking years not months before that pup will be in her prime.

Sorry to say there really isn't a good way to fix sky carp, it just tastes bad no matter how you cook it. We breast all of ours out and put them in the freezer. FWIW, I went to the farm supply store and got a poly lead rope. They are cheap, come with a big snap and are really thick. When the pup drags it around it is easy to step on and easy on the hands when I grab it. Never gets tangled and usually doesn't pick up burrs or stickers.

Frontline has worked well for me. My dog is 55 lbs. so I buy the 89-132 lb. size and get two months out of one dose. If I am going to be in an area that is especially infested with ticks I will spray her with a squirt or two of Martins Horse and Stable when we get out of the truck.
