Slamsetter made a very good comment earlier. Birds make bird dogs. Anything you do without a bird involved can turn a dog off. Gunshots without birds, coller pressure...all of it (as pups). You should start a pup with birds and get him where he cannot stand a bird being around without his killer ins...

Yeah....one of the wife's shoes down the drain already.....Im sure more to follow!! Handful is an understatement but I would rather have that than a shy dog.

I want to thank everyone on here who gave me leads to finding a new puppy. alyaschamp help me find this pretty girl. She's 11 weeks and is a pointing, running fool. Just go on AKC website. Print out the Duplicate registration application form. Take it to the breeder with $15 and have them fill it out. They AKC will send the breeder a new registration application and transfer it to you. Then just register the dog online. YOu will get 3 generations that way. Im s...
