Re: Tuf Foot

Your inquiries prompted me to do a little research since my dogs also need foot care (now) and found another one that is call MUSHER'S SECRET. From the reviewS, it seemed to be a very good product. It could almost replace the doggy boots. Perhaps someone on this board has positive experience using t...

Hi from Nebraska with some pics

So far we have a decent luck with finding birds. Dogs works pretty good this year especially the young one. Roam one is 2 years and white one is 5. Enjoy. http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk319/kmv_photo/Hunting/032.jpg http://i283.photobucket.com/albums/kk319/kmv_photo/Hunting/042.jpg http://i283...

Re: pup constantly humps my kid's legs

I have two female GSP. A 1 Year old and a 4 years old. Ocassionally the 4 years old will hump the younger one and really goes through the action like she's got it. I told the wife to look and said "now, that's a real bitch" and we both just crack up  . Yes, its a dominent thing. Knee them in th...

Re: Almost skunked

With the peroxide and baking soda mixed, can I just wash all over the dog's head just like any other shampoo, or do I need to not wash over the eyes. Just needed to know incase it gets in the eye a little. Thanks.

Re: Almost skunked

One of my dog got skunked. She was infront of me searching and all I see was this puff of like steam/smoke and a skunk disappeared into the thick grass. I thought she was going to die. I washed her head/nose with a 20 oz bottle water after a couple of minutes when she stops rolling. I complete the h...

Re: charles daly

Bought one from Wal-Mart and lasted me a good 5 years before it broke. Works very well and light. Just don't plan on it lasting forever. Finally got a Berreta Extrema II as a replacement two years ago. If you are not picky about guns as long as it shoot then definitely buy it.

Re: Shot Gun Shell Shock !!!

Stop by the local GunsUnlimited store yesterday just to kill some time and happen to wonder to the shell area and OMG... the price has JUMPED big time. I usually shoot 12g Goldenharvest that cost $10 last year and it went up to $17 yesterday..... It is going to be a very tough hunting season coming ...

Good choice going with the X2. I tested both guns before settle with the X2 also; however, I did like the look of the SBE much better. I do think that the X2 is an ugly gun though. I got the camo version and has been smooth and shoots all kinds of load. I let a friend tried it at the field once and ...

Pup is from Nancy and Randy down by MO. If I can't find local trainer, I'll go with BDK in KS because that is where Nancy and Randy train theirs. Just need to start looking local first. Thanks.

Reputable Pro Trainer in Eastern NE (Omaha - Council Bluff)

My GSP will need training shortly here so I did some research and found several pro trainers in the Eastern NE (Omaha/Council Bluff) area. I’m looking to do some hunt test with my dog and perhaps NSTRA down the road but mainly a hunting/gun dog. Your input/experience both positive/negative with thes...

DIF IN HUNT ONLY TRAINING VS. COMPETITION TRAINING BY A PRO?

I have been reading a lot on this forum recently and must say that it is addictive. There are so many of you here that really know your dogs. I’ve recently acquired a new pup. I definitely want a pro to train my dog. My goal is to turn her into a hunting partner I can brag about. At the same time, I...

Thanks for the re-assurance. I hope it will go away. When they are out hunting, no playing around so that is good. It is only when they are out in the back yard. I'm just a little concern about bitting on the hind legs. The older dog is a submisive type and is a little afraid of the puppy already be...

New pup play biting with my older dog

I got this 6 m old gsp about a month ago. She has settle in very well; however, she continues to play bite with my older gsp and just don't know when to stop. The older gsp would play for a little then decided to quit but the pup continues to play bite on the older gsp's sholder, colar, hind legs an...

15 months GSP have excessive foam/drool when walking or run

My GSP has had this foam/drool at the mouth when she is excited or excercised since about 7 or 8 months old. Just sitting around she is okay but the minutes we are ready to do something and she is excited, the foam starts. 10-15 minutes into our walk she has more foam and is drooling on both side of...
