I found this post on another board. It really shows just how difficult it is to repeat as National Champion!! Re: Elhew Sinbad?

Sinbad is alive and well. He has produced very well. He was a shooting dog champion that made the jump to all age and has won all age championships as well. However, his name can be a bit decieving. When one thinks Elhew Sinbad you are lead to believe that he is at least a somewhat tight Elhew dog....

Re: Wound care and honey

I used honey to treat a pretty nasty chest wound to one of my setters. You could literally see the healing progress daily! The wound was so open you could see her chest muscles through it. The honey did the trick. It has to be unpasteurized honey.

25% survival rate is low. You want to be sure to feed a good quality pigeon mix. Make sure there is crushed oyster shell available. Also make sure you have grit available for the young ones at all times. Be sure to never feed cracked corn.

Any dog that has bitten a young child should not be trusted with that child again, supervised or not. If you think the dog can't be trusted it should be put down immediately! I don't agree with re-homing a dog that has bitten a person, you're just passing your problem on to someone else.
