Re: NA test layout
I have ran in a few NA tests and the track has always been ran in fairly tall grass, if I understand this right it sounds like this was run in a bare field? Pretty tough doins for a young dog IMO. on the other hand I ran a pup in NA test once that was a completly different dog at the test then he wa...

Oh, and as for that remark about more pheasants being shot over labs than Brittanys each year. My boy limited out, a hunter with a wiem pulled one down and I missed the one I shot out. According to the DNR official tha was there when we left, those were the only birds taken that morning. I think I ...

and when did brittney spaniels become "real hunting dogs" ?
When they dropped the spaniel and started to "quarter"?

So you are saying that out of 1000 wiems only 1 will hunt?Actually, it is not outlandish And the reason we went to Germany for our first weims.
My experience has been a little different, I have owned 5, they all hunted. Some better than others, but they all hunted.
Maybe I am just lucky

I have been wondering the same thing.
So outside of a championship you cannot earn anything that will show up on a pedigree? No FC, AFC, NAFC in american field?

Easy there, you might want to change that to don't hunt not won't hunt. Even then 99.9% seems a little outlandish99.9% of weims in America have no hunt, are not sold to hunting homes, and are worthless field dogs,

I just had made a few mistakes while trying to rush to prepare for a NA test, of course I did not have launchers and think they can help a great deal. Will you be testing in Utah or Idaho? Let us know how it goes.

You might see if you can transfer your $100 payment to a spring test. Give her a hunting season for to figure it out, if she doesn't, you have the rest of winter to work on her. It might be a easier once she is a little older and has more experience. JMHO

It is happening in the QH racing world already. At that time he said 36 other people had cloned horses but no one else has come forward...

Do you just keep them in the harness for a while and then put them up or do you release them from the harness and let them hunt from there?

Guess it depends on how you define a versatile dog. I would venture to guess there are a good number of versatile britts, setters and pointers out there, as well as GSP's and GWP' s that are not.
