Those tornadoes made our "winter storm" look like a cake walk- especially since we're covered in frosting :P ! All we have to deal with is a lousy commute! Our thoughts & prayers go out to those who lost their lives & those left behind cleaning up! I complained about the fit of my shoes, until I met...

The company I work for has a sporting clays outing instead of golf. We do it in October, just before hunting season, so it gives me a good opportunity to brush up. It's always alot of fun. We have breakfast @ the clubhouse, shoot five stations & split up into equally matched teams for the full cours...

I'll probably get roasted for this, but... I go with an IC choke. It will hold a decent patttern for about 40? yds, & any further out, I won't shoot at it. It only takes about 7 or 8 pellets of #6 to drop a pheasant, & if it's all bunched together, you're ruining the meat. I shall now lie down & awa...
Thanks for the kind words. Here is a pic of him pointing one of the birds..I need to learn to believe him..There was a bird real close down wind (behind) of him that we could see, but he wanted to point the opposite direction...I thought maybe he was mixed up but he kept pointing this way and sure ...

You are obviously in an income bracket where $1200 is pocket change. Tell me now, how much did you pay for the pup's you have? How successful have they been? How many pup's have you sold for $1200? Ya wanna have dinner? I could use a sugar momma! That is exactly what I paid for my pup, & no, it was...

My 3.. . are those wild birds you're after? I thought one had to go alot farther for wild... Went to a club on Sunday with a guy from Church & his family. They all had black labs (3 of them) & they were all flushers. It was kind of interesting, running a wide ranging pointer with a close flusher. On...

They like to hide in the pines out there, so work the tree lines. They tend to hold pretty well in the trees. Just make sure you're on the right side of the trees when they flush (good luck)! The rangers like to plant the birds along the southern end of the fields just before sending the hunters out...

Review: Benelli Super Nova
Just broke in my new "toy" @ the annual company sporting clays shoot, a Benelli Super Nova, 12 gauge, 28" barrel. The gun performed splendidly(wish I could say the same for the operator :( ). Put 150 rounds through the thing, & it never flinched once! My shoulder only started to get a little tender ...

Greg, Dave & Adam are pretty much right. Saturday won't be too bad on 294. You'll hit snags around the tolls (EZ pass accepted). Don't want to be on that road during the week, though...there are spots that NEVER clear up weekdays, & you'll still get slowed up anywhere there's a merge, split or toll....

I'm w/ Lab Man. A couple of weeks ago, I took a buddy & his 8 mo old GSP to the farm w/ my dog & planted some chukars. Very lucky! My older V got hit several years back... He was gone for three days & limped home with some bruises & cuts & slept for two days! Do you crate him overnight? If so, it makes no difference to the dog whether its day or night. If not, perhaps you should start. The crate was "home" since Zoomie came home. He's spent every night in there since he was seven weeks old. Just recently, we've let him out to sleep with our older dog, bu...

Intro to beeper
I just picked up a beeper for the pup. When I got home, naturally I was excited to try it on him. He heard it & went nuts trying to locate the source of the sound which was emanating from his head. Comical to watch, but probably not very productive. My thought was to take him out to the forest prese...
