Re: 2011 Hun Championship
1st place-Bert/Richardson/Brath
2nd was a Dave King Dog Ruby?
Boy was the first place dog for the call back and screwed up the retrieve wouldn't pick up a bird that wasn't killed cleanly and was flopping around

Re: Region 8
Congrats to Bill, Bandit and Dennis and all the other winners! Bill will know for sure but I'm thinking that Boede is a half brother to Bandit ( Ruger )???
Re: Region 8
Only by the graciousness of people like the Richardsons and Killams are the Chicken, Hun, region 8 and region 9 run. They all are extraordinary hosts and, yes, they want to win as badly as everyone else. We're lucky that they have a fondness/weakness for GSP's like the rest of us. It does give one a...

Re: Shartail Classic / Ekalaka, MT
I checked my journal from 2 years ago and the temps at Ekalaka were progressively...85, 85, 87, 87, 89 and 90. The humidity was very low....probably 15-20% so it really didn't seem that hot. The course is a 3 hour continous course and except for the marginal first course had sufficient water for the...

Re: Shartail Classic / Ekalaka, MT
If you've never been to Ekalaka, MT, let me describe it this way....you've heard the term "middle of nowhere" that's it ( they actually sell t-shirts there that say Ekalaka, Mt...the end of the world) :D :D . Cellphone service is nonexistent....occasionally a signal is picked up after you drive a co...

Re: Shartail Classic / Ekalaka, MT
I was with Dennis Brath 2 years ago at the Sharptail....afternoon temps every day were in the 90-93 range. There was 63 dogs in the OSD and I don't recall a single pro pulling a dog before the brace began....they all loaded up themselves and their scouts with water and turned 'em loose. Don't forget...

Clark, by the way don't forget I'm still relatively new to this game....I might not get another chance to brag. And this critique is coming from a guy that describes his National Champion as his "Goddess Athena"

Re: Four Lakes GSPC - Badger 1000
Clark, the dam's mother is Tejas Magnum's Jazz out of NFC Magnum's Touch of Gold. The dam's sire is Trueblu's Hud's Kickin Up Dust. Hear that your breeding of Abbie and Jax didn't take?
by the way you didn't have to chase Belle down and tackle her, did you?

Re: Four Lakes GSPC - Badger 1000
It doesn't matter how good they roll unless they handle, Bill. That goes back to their breeding. She has all the attributes of her daddy Bandit....very smart and wants to please. I've really been missing her here at home but I realize for her to meet her full potential we need to leave her with Denn...

Re: Four Lakes GSPC - Badger 1000
Bert ( Keith and Bobbi Richardson ) handled by Dennis Brath won the OGD which finished her FC....didn't get any of the other placements. Tejas Bandit's Southern Belle swept the puppy and derby handled by Dennis. I think Dennis said the Chip dog ( Keith and Bobbi Richardson) was fourth in the derby.....
Re: Region 4
The South is on the rise again!!! :D :D :D Tejas Bandit's Southern Belle ( sire Caden's Bandit ) wins Derby. Way to go Dennis Brath! Dennis has had Belle for less than two weeks and placed her 2nd in weekend derby and first in the puppy then wins region derby. Belle was 13 mos. old yesterday. Wayne

Brother Ken erred...Freckles has 5 placements in 6 attempts...2 firsts, 1 second and 2 thirds. She was not run this past fall because of being "with child" and whelped a litter of 10 pups on Nov. 28. She gives you everything she has every time out. She ran at 3:00 in the afternoon, last brace, in th...

Nell, Haylee Killam wins AGD ( I was braced with her and this dog did an excellent job. 4 finds and a back. the last find was exceptional. ) Joe Indermann's dogs were 2nd and 3rd with a Killam dog palcing 4th. Don't know the results from the OLGD yet.

Con, Keith and Bobbi Richardson, wins OGD. Congrats to Dennis and Keith and Bobbi. Tejas Bandit's Southern Belle takes second in puppy stake at 9 mos. of age finishing behind a 14 mo. Bodenstabb pup that is already ready Derbies. Conditions were very bad for dogs in OGD early sat. morning. Only one ...

Hey, Big Congrats Bill!!! Makes me even more proud of this Bandit pup I have...she's pointing solid and has an excellent nose...pointing pigeons from 30-40 yards...ran her off the horse a few times and she's running to the front from 100 - 125 yards not bad for 5 1/2 mos. old. Once again congrats to...

Bill, I'm Ken's "younger" brother and although we're not acqauinted I got to know Bandit quite well and had the pleasure of handling him several times on the atv while Dennis was down here in Texas. Congrats to you and Natasha on your recent successes.
