Re: Gun shy rescue GSP
If he's shutting down don't start popping a cap gun around him....just make it worse. Take a step back and start from the beginning of reintroducing the dog to gunfire. Go slow and use a method or you will make things worse. Hopefully you can get him over it

Dog catcher called me and said that he had a stray shorthair. I went over to save her from the pound and noticed she has an ear notch and a number 5 tattooed on the inside of her leg. Anyone have any experience with this? Is this a field trial thing?

Delmar use to grab a fighting dog by the backlegs and spin them in 4 or 5 circles...what did that do? No telling. Does it work? Sometimes. Just something to think about. Muzzle scout and let them interact. Maybe if the pup submits scout will back off

There isn't anything down in south tx that will jack with a rattlesnake other than humans and hogs...the feral hog population explosion is the direct cause of their change in behavior...as per the tpwd biologist in three rivers. I need to find the den pretty quick.

just pretty much saying if you think you are getting into trouble just remember your the boss and you can control anything that horse will try to do with those reins...if all else fails and trouble is going to happen crank down on those reins and hold on for dear life
