Re: What's the largest vet bill you ever had to pay?

About five hundred, to bring a near dead dog back to life. She had ate some kind of poison something or other. She was in ICU (or the dog equivalent) for several days. Vet said thirty minutes more to get her in, and she woulda been gone. She was 15 at the time, and lived to be 17 years old. "bleep" ...

Re: Vet recommends new dog food?

Mine does better on lamb than on chicken. I got him a back of Diamond Naturals chicken and rice accidently, and he was itching and shedding more on that. I put him back on the lamb and it was fine. I think Diamond is pretty reasonably priced, and they have it available with lamb as the Major protein...

I would say go to the vet, that way you know if it is yeast, or some type of mange. If not, it is possible it could be allergies or fleas.

My dog I think is able to know when something might upset me. So if I come in and he looks "guilty" I look around, and sure enough, something has been knocked down, or a toy has had the stuffies pulled out. Obviously, If I'm not there when it happnes, he isn't reading my body language. And he really...

Hate to sound bad, but muzzle it or put it down. A child should never be percieved as a threat by a dog of any breed IMO, and if a dog lunges at a child, it is of unstable temperment.

I would eat a hog.

APBTs, dogos, ridgbacks, american bulldogs, and bandogges are commonly used for hog hunting. It is indeed a dangerous sport for the dogs involved, but they seem to truly enjoy it. Hogs can be, and are very destructive creatures.

I know when I as a kid, my dad had Brandy, a pretty little setter.
