I second that..I go right to adult or an all life stage formula. Taste of the Wild is great and for all life stages. Chicken Soup is decent as well.

I second what Ezzy said. I try and get them as used to people as possible and just the "normal way of life". I've trained several Service Dogs and this always works well for them

I would try and take him every where you can. Even just short trips to the store in the car. Take him to drop your kids off at school, have friendly neighbor kids over. Make everything positive. Dont force him though to interact if he is nervous. Use treats if needed. Most pups will be fine with soc...

Re: GSP or Brittany-PA/OH area
One of my local shelters had two EP's brought in as "strays". One male and one female. The female was pregnant. I'm on the list to adopt one of the pups when they are ready-in about 3-4 weeks.
I'm quite excited, but trying not to get too hopeful in case something happens.

Obviously it depends on the area, but most of the farms (around here) are crop producing. Very few have cows, which my dogs ignore any ways.

I've just found the house, gone up and asked them..most of the time they are more then willing..at least the one's I've asked. I usually take my dog so they can see that she is friendly and healthy.

Same here. I use adult or all life stages. Many foods that are listed as adult on the bag read that they are all life stages any ways.

Usually large/medium breed females hit the first heat cycle 8-18 months. You want to keep her away from males for at least 3 weeks. I usually do a month just to be safe. You dont need to do anything special, except for keep her away from male dogs!

All the females I've gotten spayed had the same thing a few days after. I think its fine. Just the skin healing. Obviously, if it starts looking sore or red, give the vet a call

MY Labrador gets them raw and has never had an issue.
She gets a marrow bone every few weeks. Her teeth looking amazing for an almost 10yo dog!

The Subaru Tribeca can fit a 36" crate also. I dont see why the 4runner wouldnt be able to fit a crate in th...

$400 for a mutt is crazy. The Labrador looks huge for breed standard and the mom/GSP looks very young. They also don't mention anything about health tests or titles on the dogs.

Its usually advised to keep her away from other (unneutered) dogs for a month. They usually bleed for 3 weeks or so. I personally wouldnt let her out of your site. She may listen wonderfully, but an unneutered male may be able to find her.
