!00 acres really isn't large enough to make a big difference unless adjoining property offers good habitat as well. generalities/theory---yes. however we've improved a 103 acre tract in SE Kansas over the last 10 yrs, 1 covey at that time....with improved shrubs, removing timber, adding native buff...

Re: how do you keep pigeons in town?
I live on a townhouse, so a coop is out of the question. I have been able to train my pointer by catching pigeons on their roost. I have several places I do this at. One is a large metal tank, another is a colvert that has a pipe running through it that the pigeons roost on. I go in with a head lam...

Travis--- You might try talking to your local preserves or game farms to see if they have hunting competion. A few years back one of the game farms north of me would have 2 man one dog 1/2 hour contests(pointing division and flushing division). They'd put out 5 roosters, your limited to 10 shells a...

Interested in a competition trial/circuit that would be team focused, i.e. - you and a partner and 2 dogs. I've seen shows on TV where the teams literally run all over the countryside with loaded weapons, not my cup of tea but want something as close to the hunting experience when in field. Style/Fi...

I feed 4 cups to my 2 Britts everyday of the Diamond Premium and the groomer says their coat is some of the best they've seen. They never seem to tire in the field and I would say average amount of clean up in the kennels.

McCandless Britts out of KY has a male that is tearing it up. I believe it is NLB bloodlines.
The guy in MT referenced has some nice dogs and one that is 6x champ, believe he is out of NLB too. You are gonna find out that NLB was a busy dog outside of running trials....

I was referencing Buddy as a popular dog to this forum as one who's ears were closely resembling what I was asking about.
Was trying to get a feel for what was standard -- not meaning to point out Buddy as non-standard dog, but when comparing Britts, what was "the" look.

I didn't mention, but I don't believe the owner of the dog has the original paperwork.
How much are penalties? I don't think it's gonna matter as the guy looking at the dog won't be doing any breeding or need papers. Just curious.
