It said on the label to consult your vet before putting it a pregnant dog. The fact that we have a couple of vets that post one here is why I asked the question.

Preventitic collar on bred female
My female pointer is carrying pups. We have problems with ticks around here and have had two dogs come down with tick fever over the years. My vet said leave the prevenitic collar on her it would not hurt the pups. Just wanted to see if there is some other views on this.

Two weeks ago he called it bilateral eye ulcerations. This morning he put some stain in his eyes and looked at them under magnification and said they were healed good and to start with the Vetropolycin Hc.Thanks for the replies. How involved is the surgery to correct the rolled eyelids?

My old hunting buddy used to get us cracklins by the barrel to mix in our feed in the winter and during hunting season. The dogs were slick and did not lose weight even when we hunted them hard during season. As Ezzy said about the lard same goes for the cracklins, you can't keep them in the summer ...

They are on his eyeball. I just got back from the vet and he said they had cleared up again. He said to keep him on the antibiotics and he gave me some steroid ointment to put in his eyes.
