I have had labs and chickens together for years and they just got used to each other and the labs would still kick up pheasants. A cousin raises GSP's on a farm with chickens, ducks, and turkeys that actually roamed together in farm yard with no problem. And man, they sure know what to do in the fie...

I have always had labs but recently my last hunting buddy died. I had talked about getting a GSP because I hunted with some dandies. Anyway, my son "surprised" me with a GSP this Christmas. Now I always started with pups but this guy was 15 months old. He's just a little guy and wound pretty tight. ...

Hello, I am totally new to forums so please have patience with me. I am 57, married, forester. I hunted pheasants as a youth on our farm in Minnesota and came out to Montana 33 years ago and took up forestry and big game hunting. Always had a yellow lab by my side mostly as a pet and occasional bird...
