I had great success w/ Scott Miller's dvd. He isnt too exciting and the video itself is mediocre, but the FF is actually quite good.

my uncle, father and myself all went up to Montana to hunt pheasant, sharpies and huns. We had never hunted birds outside of Nevada, Cali or Oregon, so visiting Montana was extremely special. When I was running two and three dogs at a time in NV, I had a standard crate bungee corded to the back. I could fit two Brits in the #300 and third on the roading bar. Ace- I would recommend that FC post on the PDJ website. It is very simple to follow, and you already have a resourse that will pretty much answer any of your questions. I have to go the other way...the length I use and prefer is 12'. It has worked out perfect. Like Snips I had REI cut down a static climbing rope. Combine that w/ a Dave Walker pinch collar and you are ready to rock and roll.

Might be opening a can of worms, but I would stop all "sit" work until after your dog is "whoa" broke. You will get many different opinions here. At 7 weeks old, just get your pup used to its name. Be his buddy. Do everything together. Socialization is key...take your pup everywhere and introduce it...

You may think of shooting a bird for him and let him retrieve it. He might not be putting the whole picture together yet. This might help him get his prey drive up again after the flush. Just a suggestion.
