Re: Heartworm Medicine
Heartworm prevention is usually in the form of a monthly chewable tablet not vaccination. Heartguard Plus is one brand that comes to mind. If you have multiple dogs many on here will give Ivermectin 1% which is the same main ingredient as Heartguard but is a liquid form that is sold for use on swine...

Re: Getting dog used to nail trimming
I just went thru this last summer with my then 8 week old puppy. But you could use this on an adult too who has never had it done. With pup in my lap, i started by handling his paws and individual toes, several sessions each day. Soon thereafter I used a metal hand nail file and started lightly fili...

Oil finish? If it is I would be a bit skeptical because of the abrasives in ScratchX as this could possibly remove some of the original oil finish, though maybe only a small amount. At the very least I would probably want to follow up with a refresh of the oil. I've never used it so I have nothing t...

Here they are. I would have made the bottom pic bigger but the original image was smaller and to make it any bigger would have made it out of focus. http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w161/birdshooter/sample2_zpsb52381cf.jpg~original http://i176.photobucket.com/albums/w161/birdshooter/sample1_zps03f...

Yeah, Mott/Regent is no surprise when it comes to bird numbers. Re: GSP puppy what food
I will add my two cents to the mix. Whatever you feed and especially if your going to be feeding a 30/20 ratio, be careful of overfeeding. Two problems will result. 1- soft mushy stools 2- pup becomes plump and they grow too fast. Better to keep him a little on the thin side to prevent the possibili...

I neutered my GSP at 5 only because he had some nasty prostate infections. No weight gain at all when fed the same amount of food as before neutering. Is "Rapid absorption" (ie Liquid) really needed ? I don't think so. . IMO yes if you want quicker results. Anytime something is absorbed quickly into the bloodstream vs having to go through the digestive process, I think it's safe to say the quicker your going to see results. I think the quote I li...

Don't have access to no tests. Your free to email them if you really must see them.
I'm just taking a stab here that a liquid would absorb into the bloodstream quicker than any pill form, but that is just me and my uneducated guess.

I prefer to save money. With any kind of insurance you pay out more in premiums then you get back in refunds - unless the dog has a major trauma.Save that monthly premium amount and normally you will be ahead. Whether it be with casinos or insurance , the "house" normally wins. PS Many people don't...
