Well done Dave.
Some nice ground there - is it club, syndicate or private grounds?
Are those feeding barrells?

Good to get the melanistics also. Got one today myself.

Well done.

All wild bar one with a tag. We release pen reared to supplement the wild population but they are very much wild come start of the season.

Re: Tail Dropping on Whoa

Sorry but here we like the tail to go up. Flat tails don't have the wow factor. I would rather hold a dog on the merits of how it works than how he looks. I am suprised that the trialing world prefer & rate dogs on this trait as it has nothing to do with a "working breed" but is more of a show ring...

Re: Tail Dropping on Whoa

Your dogs tail is designed to be horizontal. That's how they are naturally & the desired trait in Europe where they started off. The idea is a dog points with his head & paw in the direction of the bird & the tail follows this line. A solid point Like this is a very nice site so I wouldn't be worrie...

Re: Wing Training - My Pups first day seeing a wing

Keep in mind that you are "teaching" your pup nothing. You are playing with it. The wing is strictly for your entertainment. The dog is strictly sight pointing and not learning to use it's nose and stop on scent. A little wing goes a long way. I know very well how to train a pointer & I train on wi...

2 most useful tools when training a pup to water. An older dog that is used to water. EPointers, just curious what the main frame is made out of on that pen? The frame is out of flexible plastic pipes. They are used for holding eletrical cable. They slot snuggly over scaffold bars cut & buried 2 feet in the ground. They form the "ribs" The "spine" is a 2X2 that runs the length of th...
