've only been in a few times, but haven't seen much in the way of sporting dog gear. I joked once about hunting dogs and was given the cold shoulder by a couple different employees. I would head to NC and have an orthopedic specialist do an exam. I will say, that is a long time for a partial tear to stay partial on a very active and large dog. Sounds like something else might be going on. A good ortho DVM would be helpful. Maybe see if you can get an appt with ortho and rehab/s...

Mine eat at 6:30am or so and then again in the evening whenever I get home. I leave at 7:00 so it gives them 1/2hr to go out in the yard. They both have water all of the time. My guess is they sleep 95% of the time I am gone.

Even though an acute pancreatitis is completely possible considering, I would still rule out an obstruction just to be safe. Your vet won't necessarily be able to palpate that- you need xrays and then possibly ultrasound depending on what is or is not seen. I am really surprised that the dogs hasn't...

Best advice I had gotten: 1. Keep your mouth shut as much as possible. Each time your dog blows off one of your commands, you lose cooperation points. 2. Many dogs eat and eat and eat because they eat low quality carbo-laden food. It is the same with people, carbs cause a spike in blood sugar and then that crashes making the animal hungry again. Agreed. It's a simple physiological concept. I feed grain free. My dogs never act hungry after eating and...

If you are that worried that your EP will be bred by another dog, spay her. Sounds like your fence isn't tight and dogs will travel 5 miles or more to a bitch in heat. I know plenty of females that were spayed early with no consequences. If there wasn't a high chance of her being bred and producing ...
