Took him to my vet yesterday. Judging by his teeth, he was guesstimated to be around 10 weeks old, and very healthy with the exception of the worms. Good point on the tapeworms Knine.

That serves to jog my memory. Late in the summer, I noticed some tapeworms and used an oral dewormer (Safeguard I believe) and it worked quickly. Looking back, I should have realized that fleas were a potential problem and started preventative at that point.

How long does it take to receive OFA x-ray results? I've read 2-3 weeks and the last time I submitted any was 1997 and I think it took 3 weeks. I've read it could be 5-8 weeks if they are backed up. What's been the experiences among those who have sent them in?

Authority is the house brand at Pestmart. They used to promote it as "oven baked" at lower temps which is supposed to increase nutrient availability or something along those lines.

In looking at the bag, I didn't see oven baked listed but it still may be. I've looked at it before but never purchased.

Sharing a few grapes shouldn't be a big deal, but they are toxic to dogs. A good number might give your dog upset stomach or make them sick. Raisins are much more dangerous and concentrated.

How large are the coyotes in your area? I was thinking that coyotes were usually 30-40lbs in my area of North Carolina. Maybe 45-50 for a really big one.

You could try flavoring the water with chicken bouillon and see if that helps.

I've read that mushers use fish meal in the water to encourage their sled dogs to drink in cold weather. Not sure where you would find it though.

I used to use the snap on device with the pad, but more recently have gone to using my son's old boxer briefs. Similar to the photo above.

Instead of cutting a hole in the back, we put them on backwards and use the front slit for the tail.
