Things to keep in mind: 1. Despite all the rumors, feral hogs do not wear kevlar vests (not bulletproof, .223 and up will work fine) 2. I'm 6'1.25" tall and my wingspan is 6'3"...dont know if that qualifies as lanky, but i love the way my CZ bobwhite feels. Although it is a SxS i believe its the same LOP as their O/U's.

We got some bad weather ( over an hour worth of hail up to softball size, lots of rotation but few touchdowns) last sunday, but NOTHING compared to what ripped through alabama.
That is one of the nastiest storms/tornados i've ever seen!!! Hope everyone made it through and gets back on their feet!!

I've shot a few and really like them, but the engraving turns me off too. I still look every time i go to academy, but i just cant get over the engraving.
I'll go CZ (canvasback or woodcock), unless they come out with something i like. Heck just a plain ol' blued reciever would be nice.

If you buy a CZ double, make sure its post 2005. Since 2006 the problems are few and far between. But if you do have a problem CZ will take care of you.

Gentlemen, We tested the 28 CZ at Nemacolin and for repetative shooting, she has a couple problems, after the 1st 100 rounds the CZ stated to double and she became very very warm. Now for a regular upland hunting weapon she might not have problems, but the Ruger 28 O/U had neither problem and it is...

That setup reminds me of the one my dad built, and it worked for him.
Basically there was 4-5 runs with concrete floors that were enclosed in cyclone fencing and each run had a door to individual houses/pens inside the building (sheet metal building).

Its super easy. Just have your FFL dealer fax the shipper a copy of their actual FFL. Then pay the transfer fee when you pick up the gun. Luckily for me CDNN is located in town so no shipping....just a $20 transfer fee. You will also have to pay for shipping, and some dealers will charge you a fee ...

I'd suggest going to a few shops and handling as many shotguns as you can. If it doesnt shoulder, fit, or swing nice for you move on.

WMA's are wildlife management areas. I think the main difference is the hunting is restricted to certain dates (i.e. not open season round). Also studies and research are done in these areas by TPWD. I think most public land in other states are open to hunting all season, instead of restricted to sc...

I prefer to have the dog from puppy stage and move forward, even if I plan on having a pro train my pup. If you decide to go with a puppy, ask the breeder if he or she would allow you to work your puppy with the breeder when he works his dogs. I offer free introduction session every Spring to anyon...

My guess is that you want to hunt phez. But if you want a mixed bag, I would suggest western ND or SD, where you can get a chance at huns, sharpies and prairie chickens in addition to phez. Or if you want a real mixed bag and are willing to travel, some western states in Oct. have up to 8 species o...
