I'm assuming the flange of the trigger guard covers the screw hole. You can carefully drill out the screw hole to fit a 1/8 or 1/4 dowel depending on the room under the guard. cut a piece of dowel stock to fit.. then glue it in with a good grade of wood glue...leave till the next day. I learned my lesson about the local official dog park. It is right next to the university and it seems the trendy thing is to have a poorly trained german shepard or boxer that plays way too rough. My GWP's favorite game is to be chased by other dogs because she knows she's faster than most of them...

jetjockey... That's one of the best looking pieces of lumber I've seen on a White Onyx, is it original? SubMariner ... Congrats on the new gun. I think you'll will enjoy shooting the 686. I like the 680 series of Beretta they are reasonably priced (if you shop around) for such a durable gun.

Thanks for the reply's... I do plan on hunting him until he doesn't want to run. I'm just disappointed in the longevity of English Setters, but it won't stop me from getting another one ( already coming).

Sorry Cicada...I got into the dog park and didn't respond to your situation. I think you did what most would have done.. the dogs were separated an the quarrel was over, sometime I think dog owners escalate the confrontation by yelling and not quietly separating the dogs.

I've had my dog vaccinated with Rattlesnake vaccine I'm guessing 4 or 5 years ago. as stated you need a booster every year. My dog hasn't had any problems with the vaccine. I would of thought the same as Don F. This looks like a training set up based just on my experience hunting wild pheasants. I've never witnessed a wild pheasant standing in the open like that with dogs on it. The terrain is interesting... different than the country I've hunted pheasant on looks more...

I like the dogtra 2500. I just use the beeper for locating the dog. I don't like using continuous beep setting... seems like sending a message here we come! here we come! when hunting. I wouldn't buy a collar that didn't have a beeper option.
