For years I used a kids sock for a launcher before they were available. Take a sock and put a rock in the toe and then tie a cord around the sock. All you need to do is lay 30 ft or so out straight so you can get a hold of it and jerk it off of the bird which you put in the sock head first.Make as m...

It's better for the dog to go slow at the stage it is in now and let it gradually gain some weight and then increase the feed if needed. It takes time to get the digestive tract back functioning properly.

I never feed wet kibble once a puppy is old enough to eat it dry for that reason. Don, Walnut Hill ha a lot of nice GSP's that have Dual titles, I think you can find about anything if you look. All it takes is someone who makes the effort to breed for the characteristics needed and the gene pool seems to be big enough that you can find it.

I agree with CJ, my pups grew up on the same feed Mom was eating in most cases. Nothing wrong with puppy chow for a few weeks when they start eating but I don't like it beyond that time. Plus there is little difference between the two of the essential nutrients.

Both are good but you will find it much easier to keep your weight on your dog during heavy exercise periods with a feed that has corn as the second or third ingredient. That is why you will seldom if ever find a pro-trainer feeding grain free. Dogs have eaten grain forever.
