Re: How many gun dogs?

Most of my run with bird dogs has been one dog at a time. Hard to overstate how good a dog gets when it gets hunted that much and I really like that. My current adult dog is going into his 5th season. He was my only dog during his first 4 seasons, he has great genetics, I have alot of time and resou...

Is there some pheasant hunting anywhere near where you are now? I have seen a hunter post some video of hunting pheasants in Japan but I am not sure where he was.

Re: Pup wants to play tug.

Try trading a treat for the bumper.

Another option is tossing another bumper when the pup returns with the first one. Most likely the pup will drop the one it has to go get the other one and hopefully you can break the habit.

Teaching Hold will be helpful in training proper mouth manners.

BIgK75, I have watched approximately 60 different amateurs training their dogs as it happens at PK clinics I have attended. The Perfect Here DVD from Perfection Kennel will teach you everything you need to know to train any dog you come across to recall. The short of it is first teach the Here command using a check cord, then overlay the ecollar using continuous stimulation which starts the moment you give the command an...

Whether restaurants and bars remain open has nothing to do with non-resident turkey hunters. I microwave pre-prepared home cooked meals in my motel room while I am on out of state hunting trips, it has been decades since I was in a bar. A Friend of mine operates a motel in KS and has fortunately bee...

Does this mean they should close the rest areas. It would be a long haul across Kansas if they do that.......Cj Interstate 70 runs the entire east west length of Kansas and 1000s of people from out of state use it, stop and buy gas, food, use the restroom facilities. No, I am not in favor of closing the rest areas.
